Embargoed areas
The following three areas are embargoed:
SPRINT – Saturday 24 October 2026.
Embargoed Area: Tapawera village east of Main Road, Tapawera, including Tapawera Area School and Tapawera Recreation Reserve. Access is allowed to the Tapawera shopping area, the Great Taste Trail and to Shedwood Bush Track via Rata Ave.
LONG – Sunday 25 October 2026
Embargoed Area: Teetotal Flats West. Access is permitted by cycle or vehicle along Tee Total Road and Jasmine Road
MIDDLE – Monday 26 October 2026
Embargoed Area: West Bay, Lake Rotoiti. Access is permitted along Mount Robert Road and the Lake Rotoiti Circuit between West Bay and St Arnaud village.

Anyone found to have broken the embargoes published below after publication, or to have intentionally sought an unfair advantage, will be disqualified from competing or coaching at the Taitonga South Island Orienteering Champs 2026.
