Event Bulletins and Programme

  • All competitors need to read or be aware of all the content within the Event Bulletins the first of which will be published in February 2023

Start Times

For the Sprint and the Long events each student has an allocated start time. The relay uses a mass start for each class. Start times will be published in the week before the event.

Rules

The event will be run under the NZ Foot Orienteering Rules as published by Orienteering NZ on its website, including the Special Rules for New Zealand Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships where they deviate from the standard competition rules

Health and Safety Plans will be upload to this website in early 2023 at the time entries open.

Entries

Entries will open in early 2023 and be via the EnterO platform.

Closing date for entries is Friday 17th March (midnight). 

The SPORTident (SI) contactless punching system will be used for all events. Both types of SI cards can be used: standard SI Cards which are inserted into the control or SI-Air Cards (SIAC) which are waved over the control. Competitors may use their own cards if they own one otherwise SI cards will be available for hire: standard SI Card $3 per event, SI-Air Card $5 per event.
