Embargoes

The following areas are embargoed for orienteering until after Labour Weekend 2020.

Anyone found breaking this embargo or intentionally trying to gain an unfair advantage will be disqualified from competing or coaching at the relevant event.

Sprint distance

The area in Levin bounded by Beatty Street, Trafalgar Street, Weraroa Road, Victoria Street, Tiro Tiro Road and Collingwood Street encompassing
Horowhenua College, Horowhenua Showgrounds and Event Centre, Levin School and Levin Intermediate School, and including the south-eastern
part of Donnelly Park as shown on the adjacent image.

Access is permitted for normal daily activities but it is forbidden to train within these areas with a map of any sort, to test route choices or take part in any activity that may give a navigational advantage.

This entire area will be completely off limits from 6am on the day of the sprint until after the event closes in the afternoon.

Long distance

Any attempt to physically survey, train, rock climb, or attend any navigational sporting activity that may take place within the embargoed areas (for example rogaining, adventure racing) is forbidden.
